Gamification in Austrian museums
How many museums in Austria use gamification in their educational programming? Which game elements are applied? What are the reasons for (not) using gamification in educational programming?
These questions were addressed in the survey Gamification in Austrian Museums. An Analysis of its Current Status in Educational Programming.

The survey was conducted as part of my master’s thesis in the program Education & Museums. Cultural Heritage, Identity & Cultural Education at the Universidad de Murcia in Spain.

in her childhood, Monika’s passion for museums was stirred, and she soon decided that she wanted to turn this passion into her profession. Her academic background includes studies in European History, Spanish Philology (University of Vienna and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), and Exhibition Design and Management (Donau-Universität-Krems). In 2023, she successfully completed her Master’s degree in Education & Museums. Cultural Heritage, Identity & Cultural Education at the Universidad de Murcia in Spain.
Monika has been involved in various cultural projects, from film production to cultural festivals, and she has worked as museum educator. Since 2019, she has been supporting MUSEUM BOOSTER in the planning and implementation of research and consulting projects.
